Three fuel cell buses have officially been inaugurated in Aalborg!

On 10 September, the Region of Northern Denmark and the Municipality of Aalborg officially inaugurated their three fuel cell buses and new hydrogen refuelling station (HRS).
The buses and HRI are realised in the scope of the 3Emotion project.

The Minister of Transport, Benny Engelbrecht, and the Chairman of the Regional Council of Northern Denmark Region, Ulla Astman, cut the red ribbon and declared both the fuel cell buses and the HRS officially in service.

Since March, all three fuel cell buses have been carrying passengers, and the reaction has been positive from the start. Both drivers and passengers are enjoying the buses, which so far have proven to be a reliable and environmentally friendly technology. Politicians, business partners and company from the power-to-x sector showed great interest and curiosity in the new climate-friendly technology in public transport.

Due to the Covid-19, the inauguration was postponed from March, when both the fuel cell buses and the HRS began to operate at full capacity.
