Venice to receive four hydrogen buses from Solaris

Solaris will deliver four Urbino 12 hydrogen buses to Venice, arriving in mid-2023. Earlier this year, the municipality of Venice announced that it would purchase 106 hydrogen vehicles for public transport.

The Urbino 12 hydrogen buses will serve the inhabitants of Venice and its surroundings thanks to contracts signed with AVM Venezia and ACTV SPA Venezia, which provide public transport services in Venice, and in the municipalities of Venice and Chioggia.

Solaris Urbino 12 hydrogen buses, purchased in the framework of the JIVE and JIVE 2 projects, can be seen on the streets of Bolzano (Italy), Cologne and Wuppertal (Germany), as well as in the province of South Holland (Netherlands) and the city of Konin (Poland). In addition, 12-metre hydrogen-powered Solaris buses will soon be on the streets of Upper Bavaria, Palma de Mallorca, Vienna, Bratislava, Lublin and Poznań.
