Fuel Cell Electric Buses are new and have other specifications than traditional diesel buses.
Risk analyses have been worked out to do an inventory of all risks related to these new vehicles for the different daily operations.
These analyses are the basis for measures that are taken during the application of the vehicles onsite.
Risks are identified during different daily operation activities:
There are four main hazards scenarios present in the bus:
· high pressure since the hydrogen is stored under high pressure,
· flammable gas (the hydrogen itself),
· explosives, if the hydrogen is mixed with oxygen or air in a certain proportion,
· high voltage of the electric energy stored in the lithium batteries and used for propulsion.
