The JIVE projects celebrate a milestone: over 200 fuel cell buses have been ordered!

The Joint Initiative for Hydrogen Vehicles across Europe project (JIVE & JIVE 2), co-financed by the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU), has today announced that over 200 hydrogen fuel cell buses have been ordered through the initiative. Furthermore, the first 50 buses are now in operation!

Emmen orders 10 fuel cell buses

With the order for ten hydrogen buses, which will be deployed around Emmen, the public transport agency Groningen-Drenthe and Qbuzz are giving a boost to the developments of the GZI Next energy centre. The deployment of the buses will promote the production and use of hydrogen in Drenthe and bring a green hydrogen plant closer to the GZI Next site in Emmen

H2Bus consortium and Wrightbus join forces to transform public transit with first truly zero-emission fuel cell buses

The H2Bus Consortium announced an agreement with Wrightbus for the supply of hydrogen fuel cell electric buses in Europe. The H2Bus Consortium is now on track to deploy 1,000 hydrogen fuel cell electric buses, along with supporting infrastructure, in European cities at commercially competitive rates.

Aberdeen's hydrogen bus fleet increases to 25!

Aberdeen City Council has been given the green light to increase its fleet of hydrogen-powered buses by another 10 to 25.

Under the JIVE project, funded by the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU), Aberdeen City Council has acquired and is in the process of deploying 15 hydrogen buses in Aberdeen, Scotland, in partnership with First Group, as part of a wider acquisition of 145 hydrogen buses across Europe.

Danish company Everfuel wins tender on hydrogen refuelling station in Hoeksche Waard and Goeree Overflakkee

At the Connexxion bus depot in Heinenoord, Everfuel will establish a hydrogen refuelling station, which will be operational by the end of 2021. The Danish company has won the European tender issued by the province of South Holland.
